“Mixing to me is like playing an instrument“
I’m a musician and music lover at heart. I appreciate the creative process and have had the privilege to work with some amazingly talented artists over the years. The one thing I enjoy the most is collaborating to a common goal of achieving beautiful art. That said I try and do it effectively and professionally with people I work with to keep the creative flow going throughout the journey from start to finish.
I have a background as recording engineer and also travelled the world as a touring live sound engineer, but Mixing and the final touches to a beautiful piece of work is where my heart is! I have worked on projects such as Angus & Julia Stone’s “Snow” album in 2017. Vocal Production/Editing/Mixing/Bass on song Baudelaire.
Album – Havana Meets Kingston 2018. I travelled to Havana Cuba with Jamaican artists Sly & Robbie and Australian Reggae Producer Mista Savona to embark on a groundbreaking album that collaborated with some of Cuba’s finest musicians and members from the infamous Buena Vista Social Club. My own south american roots and being fluent in spanish was an asset to the project, but also my musical background in reggae/dub/latin music production enabled me to really understand the song arrangements and rhythms from both worlds.
